Analytics

Analytics is part of the exchange infrastructure, not an afterthought to trading.

Traders and liquidity providers need reliable information about the assets and markets they interact with. The same market data also needs to reach the broader indexing and research ecosystem so Tezos assets can be discovered, compared, and evaluated alongside assets from other networks.

We are developing TEZEX analytics around both of those needs.

For traders, analytics should make the state of a market clear. Price history, volume, liquidity, market depth, and related activity provide the context needed to understand how an asset is trading and how much activity exists around it.

For liquidity providers, the same data extends into the position itself. Providers need to understand position value, fees earned, historical performance, current returns, projected returns, liquidity conditions, and the variables that affect those results.

The purpose is to provide the information people expect when evaluating a market or liquidity position. TEZEX supplies the data and tools; users make their own decisions about how to trade or allocate capital.

Bringing Tezos Markets Into the Wider Data Ecosystem

Market data also needs to be useful outside TEZEX.

Services such as CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Messari, and other market-data platforms are part of the basic research process for traders and liquidity providers throughout crypto. When Tezos assets and markets are absent from those services, users lose a familiar way to verify activity, compare assets, and perform basic due diligence.

Historically, Tezos decentralized exchanges have often provided limited analytics and limited standardized market data for outside services to consume. That has made it harder for Tezos-native assets and markets to achieve the same visibility they receive inside the ecosystem.

We are developing the TEZEX data layer with external indexing in mind as well as the on-site experience. Structured data around prices, volume, liquidity, markets, and trading activity should be available to indexers, aggregators, research platforms, and other services that depend on exchange data.

The aim is a shared data layer that serves the entire market.

Traders get the information needed to understand price and execution. Liquidity providers get the information needed to evaluate positions and returns. External indexers get structured market data they can ingest and verify.

That makes TEZEX markets easier to understand inside Tezos while giving Tezos assets a stronger presence in the wider market-data ecosystem.
